Trying and failing with Creattica Gallery
Since the first time I heard of Creattica Gallery, I loved the idea of getting my work featured on it, and since then I’ve tried to submit my design work multiple times but until now I kept getting this message,
Unfortunately your submission “” has not been accepted into the Creattica gallery.
But What is Creattica?
Creattica is a gallery of great design and inspirational imagery. Anyone can submit their work for consideration and voting on items is open to one and all. The best work is accepted and featured in the gallery which receives thousands of visitors every day.
My Designs:
Well, as much as this was really disappointing for me, it hasn’t prevented me from trying again and I thought I would share with you some of the designs I presented to see if they really aren’t that good, or am I missing something.
So, please, let me know your opinions about those designs honestly. And if you have experience submitting to Creattica, please, let me know what do you think is missing in my designs.
My last word: Creattica, I will not give up!
Update on Nov. 17th, 2010:
Today my second submission to Creattica since writing this post has been rejected as well!
I am still going anyway!

I’m asking the same question and am in the same situation. It seems totally unclear… Good luck on your persistence, I hope you find some answers. I’d like to think I’ll try again, but it all seems rather vague at the moment-
I too am having trouble with getting submissions accepted. I’m wondering if they tend to not accept designs with stock images. I submitted a website design: http://worldki.com that I think is pretty good, and it was declined.
As far as your design, I think the invitation is the strongest, but again, I’m not sure if stock images are an issue. Also the lack of padding on the bottom feels a bit awkward.
I think the other part of it is that they aren’t just looking for good work, they are looking for exceptionally good and unique work that will inspire others. Much of your work is marketing, and while it’s good, it doesn’t really bring much new or different to the table (no offense, much of my work is the same way). I would say focus on the business card as a submission, it’s good but i think it can be even stronger. Good luck!
Dear Ben:
Thank you for sharing your opinion with us.
I see you have a good point here, looking for great design not just good design!
I hope I can reach the level they require one day.

Same thing here. Don’t take it personal. I’ve submitted 3 designs and none of them were accepted (my own personal website) an illustration http://www.dsaunadesign.com/work/design/bolivian-inca and a logo, it only makes me keep on trying and improving.
I tried but was also not accepted. Guess I’ll have to try harder; call it a challenge!
Dear Niall:
Yes keep trying and let me know when you succeed, I have stopped trying but I might just try again later.
Yeah, but I find it fascinating that there’s apparently only one guy checking all the submissions. Surely such a thing requires at least 2 or 3 so that there’s less chance of there being any bias towards certain colours, styles etc?
So true, if it’s really one person only that would certainly affect the styles he likes and his personal taste would play a role in accepting submissions.
Oh, well I guess we can try Behance, Dribbble etc.
